Easy, Spooky Kid’s Room Halloween Decoration Ideas!

October 4, 2020

Every year around the middle of August I get the fall bug.. I start to feel that itch for orange colored leaves, magic in the air, yummy scents everywhere you go and scary movies on every tv channel! We were actually semi patient this year and wanted till September rolled around. *pats myself on the back*

This year my 3 year old daughter, Rylee Skye, was extra excited to decorate and she really wanted her own room to be spooky so we went ahead and added a touch of that Halloween magic to her room as well! I absolutely love that she’s old enough to really grasp the spirit of holidays this year!

Mr. Skeleton Man

I found this super cute little wall decal at the all mighty and ever holy Target! Only $10 and I had the perfect little spot for him in her little “entryway”. He was pretty easy to “set up” just copying the photo on the box.. I had a little trouble with the torso, the rib cages kept sticking together but overall I think its perfect! If you peep his one hand its kinda backwards because I decided to try to make it look like he was holding the pumpkin lol

Bats On The Wall

This was such a cute a super simple little “project” and really made all the difference! It made her room come to life! I love the way you can see the dimension of the their wings as if there really sitting there on the wall! The super fun and spooky part of where we placed them is when the AC is on the wind hits them just right and almost “flutter”. Super spooky fun! We followed this blog post (she has free printable templates for the bats!) https://www.madeeveryday.com/2010/10/bats.html/

Spider Webs

An easy halloween classic! Spider webs are so cheap and add that creepy little touch of fun to pretty much anything. I always have hella problems trying to get the webs to stretch juusstt right but this year I think I actually did okay-ish lol *pats myself on the back again* We added them over her window frame as well stretched some out over her dresser.

Other Simple Touches

Other than that the only other really “fall” or “halloween” decorations we added where small little thing like this “Harvest” sign I had picked up at Target a few years back, a cute little Mickey Mouse light up pumpkin that my mom had found last year, a mini jack-o-lantern pillow and a fun little motion activated spider next to her bed that drops down! Sometimes its the simple things 🙂

We tend to shop all month as we find cute little things in the dollar spot at Target or whatever so I’ll be sure to update this as needed with any other creepy little items we might find later on 🙂
