Healthy Baby Led Weaning:
Hi friends,
All of these meal ideas are centered around the same foods for simplicity. I’ve provided a printable meal plan as well as grocery list for all of these meal ideas. Download the FREE printable meal plan and grocery list here!
First, let me be super clear that I am NOT a nutritionist and have no educational background in food science or anything. I am just an everyday mom who tries her best to provide seemingly healthy meals for her kiddos.
The idea of “healthy” has been changed over and over again throughout the years and everyone seems to have a different idea of what’s truly “healthy”. Your idea of healthy might look completely different than my idea and thats perfectly okay. With this meal plan and meal ideas we’re sticking to mainly whole foods, so personally, I claim them as healthy. If these ideas don’t work for you or your family, change it up a bit. Feel free to follow this guide as it’s written or use it as ideas to build off of. Either way, I hope it’s helpful for you!

Baby Led Weaning Meal Staples:
So, after reading that list you might have noticed a pattern. First, like mentioned earlier, all of these ideas are based around the same foods for simplicity. It’s easier to shop that way and build ideas off of a few same ingredients instead of buying a million ingredient for 5 different meals. Secondly, we use a lot staple ingredients around here. Here are a few of our favorites I use in this meal plan.
Banza Pasta
Banza Chickpea Pasta, Variety Pack
This pasta is super delicious and I pretty much stopped buying regular pasta after discovering it! This pasta is made from chickpeas and has a much higher protein content than regular pasta. It’s also gluten free and has more fiber than other pastas out there. We absolutely love Banza pasta!
Ezekiel Bread
Food for Life, Ezekiel 4:9 Bread
Next, this weird Ezekiel 4:9 bread you’ve probably never heard of! This is sprouted whole grain bread and you might not have ever seen it at your store because it’s not with the rest of the breads. You can actually find this bread in the freezer section. Ezekiel bread is a unique combination of 6 grains and legumes and is a source of complete protein! Thats a powerful bread!
Chia Seeds
Chances are you’ve heard of chia seeds by now and probably love them yourself! If you haven’t, here’s a quick run down. These powerful little seeds have all sorts of health benefits. They’re a great source of fiber and omega-3 fatty aids which are important for cognitive growth. We use chia seeds one just about anything to add a little texture to our food too.

Quinoa
BetterBody Foods Organic Quinoa
Lastly, this beautiful ancient grain called quinoa! Quinoa has all 9 essential amino acids and is a complete protein. I like to use this in place of rice in many dishes and just as a yummy side. You probably love quinoa too and if not, you definitely will after you try it!
